Digital Paper Benefits for Logistics Industry
Digital Paper is a reflective display technology, leveraging the ambient light in the environment, unlike LCDs, which generate emissive light, and require dedicated power lines. Not only are Digital Paper tags environmentally friendly and very low power, the displays are easy-on-the-eyes for workers.
Tags made with Digital Paper benefit from one of E Ink’s core benefits – bistability. Through this attribute, power is only used to update the image or content, and no power is needed to display that content. This enables tags that are very low power, with long battery life, and which can be wirelessly connected with back-end systems for centralized management. These tags can display inventory quantity, which are updated dynamically, alleviating any issues in accuracy or efficiency from manual paper updates. Workforces may be relocated to other positions, resulting in better overall warehouse productivity.
Digital paper tags can also be integrated with other sensors to become smart tags which monitor goods with special storage condition requirements, or security concerns. This offers value added services to customers.

Pick to Light System
The Pick to Light System is a system that supports faster and easier picking work by utilizing a Light Module. Workers in factories or logistics centers move to the location where the LED confirmation button on the Light Module is illuminated and then retrieve the number of items indicated on the Light Module. By following the instructions given by the Light Module, this picking operation achieves accurate and speedy picking.
Electronic Paper Model: It has two functions, "Shelf Label Function" and "Picking Function." With a 2.9-inch electronic paper display screen, it is larger and has a faster display speed than traditional models. By displaying product names, product codes, and other information on the electronic paper, it can further enhance work accuracy.
Smart Tag/Smart Card
RFID cards using electronic paper. By using electronic paper, they achieve excellent visibility. They can display text, photos, shapes, barcodes, QR codes, and more without location constraints, and they boast high visibility even under sunlight or in dark warehouses due to their high contrast.
They can be used in various scenarios such as logistics container labels, manufacturing instructions, ID cards, or as substitutes for work history management and access cards. These visible digital labels help reduce environmental impact and support on-site digital transformation (DX).
